From early childhood, her passion for drawing and painting was obvious

Minal is of Indian origin, born and raised in Kenya. She grew-up surrounded by the rich Kenyan culture, the great Savannah, and the rhythm among the wonders of the world: “the Migration”.

Her passion for drawing and painting was evident from early childhood.

Whilst pursing her formal career in Pharmacy, Minal continued painting & exhibiting to raise funds to help transform lives of the underprivileged.

Recognising art’s change-making potential, she continued exhibiting to raise funds to help transform the lives of the underprivileged.

As with many people, an awakening within saw her return to art full time, in a quest to bloom in her creativity, and flourish in the areas of painting.

Artists Statement

Minal’s paintings explore and share her experience of life in Kenya, surrounded by nature. They give voice to her own intersectional journey as an Indian, woman, mother, and most importantly, daughter. Her travels across borders founded a realisation that the lives of women – be it in Africa, Asia, or any other continent – are often alike. Many times, the struggles faced are identical, merely packaged differently.

Minal’s muses are deeply rooted in the encompassing beauty of nature, where women, animals, flowers, and hints of African motifs intertwine as integral parts of its living canvas. The flowers in her paintings symbolise her self-growth and a time of blossom and bloom akin to a cultivated garden. She believes all women need to express their colourful emotions and embrace what one needs to achieve. That our gifts are a calling to an area that needs to be explored and nurtured. Portraits of expressions, the tropical flowers, and all of these colours portray the mother, the woman, the daughter, the nature.

In Bloom - Dubai Picasso Gallery Event June 2023 -

Art For Hope

This exhibition holds a special dedication to her late brother, who embodied a deep commitment to raise awareness by providing the underprivileged access to basics necessities and services. Even in his absence, his unwavering passion for helping others continues to serve as a profound inspiration. It is this heartfelt connection that drives her to organise this art exhibition in honor of her brother, Nilesh Morarji. All proceeds generated from the event will be directed towards the construction of a borehole in the arid region of Lengisem, Kenya.

In her heartfelt endeavor to honor her late brother's memory, she embarked on a quest to make a positive impact in a vulnerable community. Through introspection and guidance, the need for clean water in the remote Maasai community of Lengisem, Kenya, became evident. Determined to address this pressing issue, she personally visited Lengisem, witnessing the harsh realities of drought firsthand. This experience solidified her commitment to bringing change to the community.
